Sergeant First Class Sullivan is a native of Visalia, California. He enlisted in the United States Army in 2005 as an Infantryman and attended One Station Unit Training at Fort Benning (now Fort Moore), GA. His first assignment was with 1st Infantry Brigade Combat Team (Mechanized) 4th Infantry Division, 2nd Battalion 8th Infantry Regiment, Able Company at Fort Carson, CO. He served in the 2nd Battalion 8th Infantry from 2005 thru 2012 and held every enlisted position from Riflemen to Squad Leader. He deployed in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom [2005 thru 2006 and 2008 thru 2009] and Operation Enduring Freedom [2011 thru 2012]. In 2012 he was reassigned to 1st Battalion 14th Infantry Regiment, 25th Infantry Division at Schofield Barracks, HI. He served as both a Squad Leader and Platoon Sergeant. In 2015 he was reassigned to 1st Battalion 29th Infantry Regiment Fort Moore, GA where he held the position of Instructor/ Writer at the United States Army Bradley Master Gunner School. He instructed on the M2A2 ODS and M2A3 Bradley Fighting Vehicle. In 2020 he was reassigned to 1st Armored Brigade Combat Team (ABCT) 1st Armored Division at Fort Bliss, TX and was assigned to 2nd Battalion 37th Armored Regiment, Charlie Company. He Served 28 months as the Platoon Sergeant with Charlie Company and was given the honor to be selected as the Brigade Bradley Master Gunner for 8 months. Upon his completion as a Platoon Sergeant, he was assigned to the United States Army Cadet Command, 3rd ROTC Brigade, Badger Battalion University of Wisconsin – Whitewater as a Military Science and Tactics Instructor.
