Biography

Major (MAJ) Steven J. Olds commissioned as a Logistics Officer from New Mexico Military Institute in 2012 and is a graduate of the Logistics Officer Basic and Advanced Course, Unit Movement Officer Deployment Planning Course, and Combat LifeSaver Course.

MAJ Olds’s previous assignments include: ·       V Corps Forward at Camp Kosciuszko, Poznan Poland where he served as the Battle Captain for the V Corps Forward Element and Operations Officer. ·       310th Sustainment Command where he served as the Commander of the 261st Ordnance Company out of Charleston, WV. ·       310th Sustainment Command where he served as the Operations Officer for the 497th Combat Sustainment Support Battalion out of Salem, VA. ·       310th Sustainment Command where he served as the S4 out of Charleston, WV. ·       143rd Sustainment Command where he served as the Commander of the 489th Logistics Over the Shore Company out of Jacksonville, FL. ·       143rd Sustainment Command where he served as the XO for the 146th Movement Control Team out of Orlando, FL. ·       985th Quartermaster Company as a Platoon Leader out of Las Cruces, NM. MAJ Olds has combat and operational deployments to Syria, Iraq, Kuwait and Poland Theaters. MAJ Olds holds a Bachelors of Science in Public Health from University of South Florida, and a Masters in Occupational Safety and Health Association from the University of Columbia Southern. MAJ Olds arrived at the University of Wisconsin-Madison to serve as an Assistant Professor of Military Science in September of 2025.
