Daniel Loomer

Captain Daniel W. Loomer is a native of Delavan, Wisconsin. He enlisted as a Cannon Crewmember in the Wisconsin Army National Guard 2014. He received his commission on Active Duty as a Military Police Officer in May 2018 through the University of Wisconsin Stevens Point Reserve Officer Training Corps. He earned his Bachelor’s of Science degree in Natural Resource Management from University of Wisconsin Stevens Point. He earned his Master’s of Science degree in Criminal Justice from Webster University.

Captain Loomer’s previous assignments include: Cannon Crewmember, Bravo Battery 1/120th Field Artillery, Stevens Point, WI; Platoon Leader, 165th Military Police Company (Detention), Fort Leavenworth, KS; Executive Officer, 165th Military Police Company (Detention), Fort Leavenworth, KS; Commander, Headquarters and Headquarters Detachment, 15th Military Police Brigade, Fort Leavenworth, KS; Plans Officer, 91st Military Police Battalion, Fort Drum, NY; Commander, Headquarters and Headquarters Detachment, 91st Military Police Battalion, Fort Drum, NY.

Captain Loomer’s military education and training includes: Cannon Crewmember Advanced Individual Training, Military Police Officer Basic Course, Air Assault School, Unit Movement Officer Course, Transportation Coordinators‘ – Automated Information for Movements System II, Anti-terrorism Officer Basic Course, Military Police Captains Career Course, and Common Faculty Development – Instructor Course.

His awards and decorations include the Meritorious Service Medal, Army Commendation Medal, Army Achievement Medal (3 OLC), Army Superior Unit Award (1 OLC), Army Reserve Component Achievement Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Military Outstanding Volunteer Service Medal, and Army Service Ribbon.
