Position title: Assistant Professor of Military Science
Captain Eric J. Schultz is a native of Ripon, Wisconsin and entered the Army in 2004 as an 11B, Infantryman. Captain Schultz was commissioned through the Army ROTC as an Infantry Officer in 2008.
Captain Schultz’s past assignments include: Infantryman, Infantry Platoon Leader, Company Executive Officer, Logistics Officer, and Plans Officer with 2nd Battalion, 127th Infantry based out of Appleton, Wisconsin. He also served as Platoon Leader with 3-108th Infantry, Georgia and Battle Captain with 157th Maneuver Enhancement Brigade based out of Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
He served during three deployments to include Operation Iraqi Freedom in 2005 with A Company, 2nd Battalion, 127th Infantry, and again in 2009 with D Co, 2nd Battalion, 127th Infantry. Most recently, he served in 2011 with the 157th Maneuver Enhancement Brigade and 3-108th Infantry (Long Range Surveillance Company) in Kosovo. He is currently assigned as an Assistant Professor of Military Science at the University of Wisconsin – Madison.
Captain Schultz earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Supply Chain from the University of Wisconsin – Oshkosh, and Master of Business Administration from the University of Wisconsin – Madison. He is a graduate of Infantry Officer Leadership Course and the Heavy Weapon Course.
