Sergeant First Class Anthony LaCrosse enlisted into the Wisconsin Army National Guard on 29 May, 1998 as a 31C radio operator maintainer under the split option training program. He attended BCT at Fort Sill, OK during the summer of 1998 and AIT in 1999 at Fort Gordon, GA graduating with honors. During his 22 years of service, SFC LaCrosse has served in many leadership positions that include Recruiting and Retention Operations NCO, Recruiting and Retention Team Leader, Recruiting and Retention NCO, Petroleum Section Chief, Squad Leader, Communications Team Chief, and Security Force Team Leader.

His assignments include: WIARNG Recruiting and Retention Battalion, Madison, WI; Company D 132nd Brigade Support Battalion, Baraboo, WI; Headquarters and Headquarters Company 132nd Brigade Support Battalion, Portage, WI; Company C 2nd Battalion 127th Infantry Regiment, Fond du Lac, WI; Task Force Red Arrow, Madison, WI; Headquarters and Headquarters Detachment 132nd Forward Support Battalion, Madison, WI.

His previous mobilizations include: Operation Iraqi Freedom 2005-2006 & 2009-2010, Operation Noble Eagle (Task Force Red Arrow 2003-2004).

SFC LaCrosse’s military education includes Common Faculty Development-Instructor Course, Recruiter Leader Course, Air Assault School, Casualty Notification/Assistance Officer Course, Master Leader Course, ARNG Basic Project Management Course, Senior Enlisted Joint Professional Military Education I, Fiscal Law Course, Master Resiliency Trainer, MEPS Guidance Counselor Course, Battle Staff Noncommissioned Officers Course, Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Trainer, Recruiting and Retention Senior Leaders Course, 79T Conversion Course, Recruiting and Retention Course, Petroleum Operation Specialist Advanced Leaders Course, Basic Noncommissioned Officers Course Common Corps, Petroleum Operations Specialist MOSQ Course, Combatives Trainer Level 1, Automated Logistics Specialist MOSQ Course, and Primary Leadership Development Course.

SFC LaCrosse holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from the University of Wisconsin-Platteville and is a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 987, Lodi Area Fire Department, as well as the Wisconsin National Guard Enlisted Association. He resides in Lodi, WI with his son Mario, and daughter Lucille.
